COMSOL Multiphysics Overview

A program for finite element calculations of complex scientific and technical problems. COMSOL Multiphysics allows you to simulate almost all physical processes that are described by partial differential equations. The program contains various solvers that will help you quickly cope with even the most complex problems, and the simple structure of the application ensures ease and flexibility of use. The solution to any problem is based on the numerical solution of partial differential equations using the finite element method. The range of tasks that can be modeled in the program is extremely wide.

Installation

Note that I installed the Windows version, not the server version. The server version is also available. READ CAREFULLY the text files in the Crack folder, specifically readme_windows.txt and readme_linux_macos.txt. Everything is written and translated there. Instructions are here for Windows, Macs, and Linux. Read the above file, readme_linux_macos.txt.

So, run setup.exe and get this. Note: The installation is in CHINESE. I didn’t understand how to install it in English, so I set it to CHINESE by feel. After installation, the language changes to ENGLISH or another language you need. More on that later… Enter the data in the required fields—license (second from the top) and username and password—and click Next. We get this. Actually, anything in Chinese can probably be translated with a translator if needed, but I didn’t bother. After everything was installed, I disconnected the internet to prevent the program from updating itself and launched the program. We followed the arrow and got this. There, change the language to English or the desired language and restart. It may have happened several times for me, but after the third time, the interface switched to English. Accordingly, next, check the settings and disable automatic UPDATE. Only then turn on the internet and start working. For the server part and other systems, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS for them – they are in the Crack folder.

A working network card and internet connection are recommended during installation.

Depending on licensed products and installation options, 1–5 GB of disk space is required.
Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.0 or later is required for viewing and printing COMSOL documentation in PDF format.
