Toon Boom Harmony Premium Overview

Toon Boom Harmony Premium is an animation production tool that provides artists and studios with powerful and innovative technologies used in blockbuster films, television series, online series, commercials, games, and many other projects.

Toon Boom Harmony Premium Features

• Harmony technology gives artists and studios the freedom to create animation using a variety of techniques, including:
• Traditional animation, where each drawing is drawn and refined on paper, then scanned into Harmony and digitized (colored and filled) within the program.
• Paper (paperless) animation, where each drawing is created from scratch using Harmony’s drawing and animation tools.
• Digital, or “cut-out,” animation, where character skeletons (rigs) are created and brought to life by moving, rotating, stretching, squashing, deforming, or replacing drawings of individual body parts.
• Harmony offers a wide range of features that unlock the full potential of digital animation, including:
• Deformers, which let you define bending points in your drawing and deform it without redrawing.
• Visual effects, which streamline your production pipeline and reduce the need for third-party software.
• 3D workflow, which lets you move and rotate layers in all directions and create multiplane environments.
• The ability to import and animate 3D models, and use Harmony to combine 2D and 3D animation in a single project.
• Storyboard Pro lets you create an animated storyboard or animatic of your entire project, then export it as individual Harmony scenes to seamlessly create storyboards and character poses based on your existing storyboard.
• Harmony also works seamlessly with other software, importing and exporting a wide range of industry-standard file formats, allowing for easy integration into various production pipelines.

Installation

Uninstall all previous versions of the program installed on your computer.
Also, if you previously used the Countryboy patch, you’ll have a folder called “C:\flexlm.”
Go to it and run “Remove License Service.exe” as an administrator to remove the license manager.
Also, before starting the installation, check that there’s no process named “Flexera” in Task Manager. If there is, terminate it.

1) Delete the folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\Toon Boom Animation”, if it exists.
2) Install the program using the installer “HAR25-PRM-win-24106.exe”. Default installation.
3) Copy the contents of the “patch” folder and replace them in the path “C:\Program Files (x86)\Toon Boom Animation\Toon Boom Harmony 25 Premium\win64\bin”
4) Open “lmtools.exe” in the same path.

Go to the “Config Services” tab.

• In the “Service Name” field, enter any name for the licensing service. For example, “Toon Boom License Service”.
• In the “Path to the lmgrd.exe file” field, enter the path to the file “C:\Program Files (x86)\Toon Boom Animation\Toon Boom Harmony 25 Premium\win64\bin\lmgrd.exe”
• In the “Path to the license file” field, enter the path to the file “C:\Program Files (x86)\Toon Boom Animation\Toon Boom Harmony 25 Premium\win64\bin\toonboom.lic”
  At the bottom, check the boxes “Use Services” and “Start Server at Power Up”. Then click “Save Service” and “Yes”.
  Next, go to the “Start/Stop/Reread” tab. Click the Start Server button. The text “Server Start Successful” should appear at the bottom.
  After this, click the “ReRead License File” button. The program window will freeze, which is normal; just wait a bit.
  The text “Reread Server License File Completed” will appear at the bottom. You can close the LMTOOLS window.

5) Launch the program from the desktop shortcut. Select “Work Offline.”
If a window appears asking for a license, select “Specify License File” and enter the path to the file: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Toon Boom Animation\Toon Boom Harmony 25 Premium\win64\bin\toonboom.lic”
