Simmerics MP+ is a suite of core 3D CFD and physics capabilities enabling accurate virtual experiments for multiphase (MP+) processes, including single-phase and multiphase flows, turbulence, cavitation/aeration, heat and mass transfer, particles, and fluid-structure interactions. Simmerics-MP+ solves multiphase flow and heat transfer problems using a volume-of-fluid (VOF) approach with a high-resolution interface capture algorithm. Both implicit and explicit methods are fast and robust, providing clear interfaces and excellent mass/volume conservation for each phase.
Simeris-MP+ solves problems of compressible and incompressible, laminar and turbulent, internal and external, and steady and unsteady fluid flows using the RANS finite volume method. The solver covers all flow velocities from creeping to supersonic. It also solves problems for non-Newtonian fluids and fluids with variable properties, such as real gases. Simeris-MP+ features a universal mesh generator. It automatically and directly generates binary tree meshes that match the shape of a body based on CAD model surfaces. There is no need to clean up the CAD model. The user can always obtain a correct mesh even with default settings. The mesh generator also provides simple and intuitive methods for modifying the mesh.
