Completely redesigned, Scaler 3 takes everything that made Scaler 2 the world’s most beloved music theory plugin and evolves it in ways you never imagined. Scaler 3 will make it easier to take new directions, solve musical puzzles, and improve your work on the fly in entirely new ways.

• Redesigned UX/UI Scaler 3 has been completely redesigned to remain instantly familiar
to Scaler 2 users while providing a streamlined experience for newcomers.
The interface is organized into three main pages: Browse , Create , and Arrange
• Standalone App Scaler 3 can now work as a standalone application, as well as a plugin in any DAW,
offering a complete and flexible songwriting tool.
• Multi-track timeline. The Arrange page now includes a timeline-based layout
with dedicated tracks for chords, melody, bass and phrases. Each track is synced
to the main chord track, and clips are fully customizable with independent controls for each track or clip.
• VST/AU hosting. Load your favorite third-party instruments and effects plug-ins directly into Chord Tracks
and MIDI Lanes with full MIDI and audio effects support. Easily integrate your sounds
and expand the creative potential of Scaler 3 into your workflow.
• Explore Page: Discover a Harmonic Universe of chords that aren’t tied to any specific scale.
Divided by genre and feel (e.g. Dark, Bright, Neutral), the Explore page offers compatible
and experimental chord progressions, opening up new avenues for unique and bold harmonic structures.
• Colors Page: Explore a comprehensive overview of all chord voicings and harmonic alternatives on one,
unified page. Instantly access parallel and relative chords, as well as a variety of
voicing options and substitutions to add expressiveness and creative flexibility to your compositions.
• Movements. Scaler’s favorite phrases, performances, melodies, and basslines are reimagined as Movements, now tagged
based on mood for easier browsing. Scaler 3 introduces hundreds of new Movements created by
professional musicians, including the all-new Passages Movement.
• Note Editing and Harmonic Modifiers: A comprehensive note editing matrix allows users to customize
or create new motions. MIDI tracks can be set to follow or operate independently of chord tracks,
with new harmonic modifiers and motion controls to adjust note range, density,
pitch, and clip rotation—all within a selected scale.
• Expanded Content: Scaler 3 offers a significant expansion of content, including new chord sets,
harmonic universes, movements and scales, provided by the samplify studio and a network of top-notch artists.
• Improved categorization: Improved filtering and search features allow you to quickly navigate through Scaler 3 content.
