Description
LightBurn Overview
Lightburn is a universal software solution for laser engraving and cutting, designed to provide complete creative and operational control over laser systems. Originally designed for CO2 laser machines, the software now supports a wide range of diode and galvo lasers, making it one of the most versatile tools in the laser engraving industry.
The program allows you to import vector files (such as SVG, AI, and DXF), as well as PNG and BMP images, and features a powerful built-in editor for creating, placing, and adjusting graphics. LightBurn provides real-time control over parameters such as laser power, speed, number of passes, brightness, contrast, and rasterization modes for raster images.
LightBurn software interfaces directly with a wide range of laser controllers, including Ruida, Trocen, TopWisdom, and GCode systems (e.g., GRBL, Smoothieware, Marlin), eliminating the need for middleware. The program is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux and offers a fully functional, unlimited 30-day trial, allowing you to thoroughly test the product before purchasing.
LightBurn Features
– Import illustrations in a variety of common vector and image formats (including AI, PDF, SVG, DXF, PLT, PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP)
– Organize, edit and even create new vector shapes in the editor using powerful functions such as offset, logic operations, welding and node editing.
– Apply settings such as power, speed, number of passes, cutting order, brightness and contrast, smoothing mode and more.
– Send the result directly to the laser CNC.
LightBurn communicates directly with your laser, without the need for additional software.
Currently most controllers based on Ruida, Trocen, TopWisdom and GCode are supported. Supported GCode controllers include Grbl, Smoothieware, Grbl-LPC and Marlin. Supported Ruida controllers include RDC6442G/S, RDC6445G, RDC6332G, RDLC-320A and R5-DSP. Supported Trocen controllers include AWC708C, AWC608 and TL-3120.
Installation
After installing the program, run LBPro_v2.1.03.exe from the activator folder. This process will add license information to the system registry and patch the LightBurn.exe executable. The patch changes the license validation key and the program’s checksum, and removes the digital signature.
