KISSsoft Overview

The KISSsoft software package is designed for designing, analyzing and optimizing machine parts (gear transmissions, shafts, bearings, connecting elements, belt and chain transmissions), modeling gearboxes, transmissions, gearboxes, and drive assemblies. The software package includes three modules: KISSsoft, KISSsys and GPK.The developer of the KISSsoft software package is the Swiss company KISSsoft AG, which develops software for engineers and designers in a wide variety of fields: whether it is designing funiculars, gearboxes for equipment, transmissions for Formula 1 cars or small-sized gears for Mars rovers.

KISSsoft Features

Installation

1. We start the installation by running KISSsoft-2025.exe from the administrator (this is what is written in the instructions, but they were in Chinese, I translated them and made my instructions more understandable).
2. We select the language we need from the list. If some libraries are not installed, it will offer to install, we agree. After installing the libraries, click next. We accept the terms of the agreement. 
3. Next, we select the installation location. I did not install it on the system disk and click next.
4. We select where the checkboxes are, nothing else is needed and click next . 
5. We click install. Next, we say that we do not have a license file and click next. 
6. We do not check for updates, skip this step. 
7. Before starting the program, we run the keygen from the KISSsoft 2025 SP0 Multi x64 folder and the license file will appear in the same place where the keygen starts – copy it to the folder with the program. I had f: \ Installed programs for testing \ KISSsoft 2025 \ license \ you will have your own. 
8. Next, run the program and answer the question about the update no.
9. Go to the license management tool. In the general, select our license file and save. Close the program. 
10. Run the update from the KISSsoft 2025 SP1 Multi x64 Update Only folder, also from the admin. 
11. Accept and select the installation location as before . It unpacks quickly and simply disappears, the program itself does not start. 
12. Run the keygen from the KISSsoft 2025 SP1 Multi x64 Update Only folder, get the license file and copy it to f: \ Installed programs for testing \ KISSsoft 2025 \ license \ (you will have your own folder). 
13. Then you can run the program and work. Run it, check in the license management, there should be a license file – if suddenly not, select it.

P.S. I don’t know about updating – it asks me every time I launch it, but I wouldn’t risk it – you can get caught and lose both the hardware code (the developer will simply ban it) and the license, of course. So I wouldn’t risk it.

Minimum system requirements
The following computer configuration is required to run the programs:
▪ Operating system: Windows 64-bit, Windows 11 and higher
▪ Windows N and KN require Microsoft Media Feature Pack to be installed
▪ Windows servers require Microsoft Media Foundation to be installed
▪ Processor: supporting at least SSE2
▪ RAM: 6 GB RAM or higher
▪ Screen resolution: at least 1280 x 1024 pixels
▪ OpenGL 3.2
▪ Printer: Windows
▪ Hard drive: 800 MB to 3 GB (depending on configuration)
Network licenses / floating licenses:
▪ Server requirements for server installation: Windows Server 2019 and higher.
▪ A permissions directory located on the server is required to manage a floating license.
▪ Each KISSsoft user must have read, write, and delete permissions in the permissions directory
.▪ The hardware code of the access rights directory must remain unchanged and be different from 0 (this can be checked in the license management tool in KISSsoft).
▪ For a virtual server, the serial number of the hard disk of the
access rights directory must be explicitly defined. Proper operation with a virtual server cannot be
guaranteed, in this case tests must be carried out.
▪ When using a server farm, several serial numbers
of hard disks may be encountered, these can be recorded in the license file (maximum 10).
Licenses with a hardware key:
▪ At least one free USB 2.0 port is required
