Installation

Avast is blocking its products in Russia, including CCleaner.

To ensure the program works in Russia and Belarus or prevents it from entering a trial, you must edit the hosts file.
If the program is ALREADY not working for you, simply uninstall and reinstall it with the lock removed.
Delete the registry keys (if any remain after uninstallation).

Installation

How to edit the hosts file

1. Open the command prompt (as administrator).
2. Type notepad C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and press Enter.
3. Add to the opened hosts file:

2. Install the required edition (do not run after installation is complete!)

IMPORTANT!
If you activated the trial version, find and delete the “CcLeaner.dat” file in the program folder before applying the patcher.
Make sure the program is closed properly (close it using the taskbar icon).
3. Place CCleaner_Patch22.exe in the folder with the installed program and run as administrator > Patch .
4. To prevent the program from updating, uncheck all boxes in “Options” > “Updates”.

! ! ! If, after all of the above, you still receive a message about the impossibility of working in Russia , run fix-ccleaner-ru.reg and agree to the changes.

NOTE: Updating drivers and software does not work.
