Question: What is an add-on?
Answer: Many users of AutoCAD “vertical” products have noticed that any modern AutoCAD product with advanced functionality consists of AutoCAD as a base and add-ons for Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, and other applications. Unfortunately, developers continue to release only full-size distributions. This means that if you want Mechanical and Architecture, you’re forced to download two huge packages, most of whose content is duplicated. Therefore, I’ve decided to release a new type of distribution, containing only the add-on. Now, to install Mechanical and Architecture, you’ll need to download the base AutoCAD and two small add-ons. Download less, store more compactly—that’s the main idea behind this format!
Question: What is the program’s “cure”?
Answer: The cure included in the build is based on a hacked network licensing mechanism (NLM) from the MAGNiTUDE hacking group. The build’s author wrapped it all in a convenient shell, allowing for one-click application, and added a few extra touches.
Question: Is the solution used in this build compatible with other Autodesk programs?
Answer: Regarding the 2027 series, it is compatible with most popular Autodesk programs that had already been released at the time of this build’s release. It is also compatible with programs from earlier product lines. Installing this program will disable activation of products from the 2020-2026 series. However, this activator will reactivate them! However, if you had 2020-2021 products activated with a keygen, they will remain activated with the keygen. Activation of products from the 2019 series and earlier will not be affected in any way.
Question: At some point, activation simply failed. What should I do?
Answer: First, try reapplying the solution. If you have multiple Autodesk products of different versions installed on your computer, it’s best to use the one that came with the most recent release. If that doesn’t help, check if the file %CommonProgramFiles(x86)%\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing\Current\AdskLicensingAgent\version.dll is present. If the file is missing, it’s been ingested by your antivirus. This file needs to be removed from quarantine and added to your antivirus exclusions. Let’s look at this step using Windows security as an example. First, disable the main antivirus module. In the Windows Security app, select “Virus & threat protection” -* “Manage settings” and set all switches to Off. Next, open “Virus & threat protection” -> “Protection History” and look for the most recent entry with the phrase “Threat quarantined.” Expand this entry and, only after confirming that it refers to the version.dll file, click “Action” -> “Restore.” To add the file to the antivirus exclusions, select “Virus & threat protection” -> “Manage settings” and click “Add or remove exclusion” at the very bottom. Here, create an exclusion for the file whose path I provided earlier. After completing all the above procedures, you can re-enable the antivirus. If this doesn’t help, contact a specialist.
Question: I need the Autodesk Access module to exchange data with Autodesk servers. How do I install it?
Answer: From my AutoCAD 2027 build, which is what this add-on should be installed on top of, run ..\x64\Access\AdAccess-installer.exe. After installation is complete, restart your computer – everything will work. I especially want to emphasize that you should install this add-on after using the solution, as it will forcefully disable Autodesk Access!
Question: The program won’t install. A message appears stating that it’s preparing to install, but after a few seconds it closes, and the installation stops. What’s wrong?
Answer: There’s a compatibility issue with different installer versions. Follow the instructions on the Autodesk website. Don’t be fooled by the fact that they’re for a different issue—these steps will work here, too.
Question: The program won’t install. A message appears stating that the Network License Manager does not meet the minimum requirements. What should I do?
Answer: Delete the file %ProgramData%\Autodesk\AdskLicensingService\nlm-server-info.json. Then run the program installation again.
Question: The program won’t install. An error message appears, or after a certain point, the installation simply rolls back. What should I do?
Answer: First, read the error code explanations and brief troubleshooting tips for installing and using Autodesk products here and here . If that doesn’t help, the only solution is to investigate the cause of the problem yourself by reading the installation logs. Autodesk has a utility that intelligently collects the necessary logs, which are scattered across various folders in the operating system.
Question: Is there a solution for completely removing all remnants of previous Autodesk product installations?
Answer: Yes, there is such a solution, albeit unofficial. It’s called Autodesk Complete Uninstaller .
