Description
AI FaceSwap Overview
AI FaceSwap – This app will give you fun and improve your social relationships. This app uses AI technology to recognize faces in an image or camera and automatically swaps the face of your choice. You can export multiple image formats or PDF files for free.
AI FaceSwap Features
Advantages of the program
• Complete autonomy and privacy.
• Single and batch image processing.
• Customization of facial features copying at the user’s discretion.
• Possibility of minor editing of finished images.
• Good adjustment of the copied face in terms of angle, lighting and color to the replaced face.
Due to the program’s high RAM requirements for image processing, it can only be used on 64-bit systems. The minimum RAM required for the program to run is at least 4 GB. AI FaceSwap will certainly run on 2 GB or less, but in this case, image processing may take several hours.
The number of processor cores and its frequency also play a significant role in image processing speed. The more cores and the higher the frequency, the faster the final result will be. At a minimum, the program requires a quad-core processor (with full cores, not threads), running at a frequency of at least 2 Hz. Using processors with fewer cores or lower frequencies, as well as limited RAM, will result in increased image processing time.
The resolution of the files loaded into the program also plays a major role in the speed of operation. If the resolution is over five thousand dpi, even with a very powerful processor and a huge amount of RAM, processing such large files can take a long time. Unfortunately, the program can’t replicate a face 100% accurately, but by running the final result through it as a replacement face several times, you can achieve a fairly good likeness. However, this may compromise the naturalness of the face and its coloring (theoretically, everything can be corrected in Photoshop, but it will require both skill and time).
Using the program
After opening the program, to add a single file, click the black cross at the top of the program. The adding window will open. Click the folder icon at the top of the window and add the photo from which you want to move the face. Wait a few seconds while the program analyzes the image and finds a face, or several faces if the photo is a group photo. The program will assign numbers from 0 to infinity to the faces it finds. By default, the program will copy the face with the number 0. If there are multiple people in the photo, open the list of numbers representing faces (top left of the uploaded photo) and select the number representing the face you want to move.
Next, select the photo with the face you want to replace by clicking the folder icon next to “Face to Replace.” If you want the program to replace your photo, click the camera icon (next to the folder icon). This will launch your webcam, allowing you to take a photo of yourself. Next, click the black cross on the left side of the “Add” window above “Face List.” A small window will appear, displaying the face you want to copy on the left and the face you want to replace on the right.
Click OK, and the merge window will open. Click the black arrow at the bottom and wait for the results.
The waiting time depends on your hardware and image resolution (the higher the resolution, the longer the process will take). A more powerful processor and more memory will speed up the processing. Once the merge is complete, a window will appear with the final result displayed on the right. If you want to save the new face directly to the photo you’ve uploaded, click the save icon (at the top, above the final result).
If you need to add text, an arrow, a rectangle, a circle, blur the background, or draw anything freehand, click the edit icon. This will open the image editing window. You can select what you want in the top left corner and undo any action in the right corner. If you simply want to save the finished result to a new file, click the small white arrow (to the left of the edit and save icons). After clicking, you’ll be offered two options: to a regular image file or to a PDF file.
When saving a file, you’ll need to specify the desired extension (PNG, JPG, JPEG, JPE, TIFF, BMP, WEBP). If you don’t specify an extension, the program will save the image as a PNG file by default.
If you want to swap a face in a series of images, switch from single-image addition to multiple-image processing in the upper right corner of the program (“Add image” to “Add folder”). A window will open where you’ll need to select the photo from which you want to copy the face on the left, and a folder containing multiple images where you want to swap the face on the right.
To speed up the process, we recommend checking the “Automatically overwrite images in folder” box (all image files in the selected folder will be overwritten!). Then, click the black arrow at the bottom of this window and wait for the processing results.
Processing time, as with a single image, depends on your hardware and image resolution. Unfortunately, this version of the program doesn’t allow the user to select the face to be replaced when swapping faces in a series of images. If several photos contain a group of people, the program will swap their faces for everyone.
For a more precise face transfer, you can change the transfer options. To do this, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the program and, in the face replacement settings window that opens, check or uncheck the boxes next to the features you want to transfer (eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, and glasses). If you want the new face to fit precisely within the proportions of the face you want to replace, check the box next to “Straighten to the shape of the target face.”
